Snow Hike

Early January the Group organized a hike up Lugnaquilla  so after a treacherous drive up to Wicklow at an unholy hour 3 heavily insulated ventures and their leader left the Glenmalure care park in the company of an assortment of other packs.

After no time it seemed the ice started to become a problem at the steep parts until we reached the  real snow!

After a short bit of lunch waiting for the painfully slow leaders to catch up we were off again to join up with the Wicklow way.

After joining with the wicklow way it was decided that the littlies would take a shorter route (although seemed to lengthen considerably somehow) and the more experienced would continue on.

We were met with arctic winds at the top  but also some great views!

So after a roundtrip of 6 hours we arrived back safe and sound albeit a little tired!
